What happens at Rallye Middleburg?
The event features three components to celebrate vintage motorsports:

Summit Point Historics (track time) at Summit Point Motorsports Park – 7am to 2pm

Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) Rally from Summit Point to Middleburg – 2pm to 4pm

Vintage Street Festival in Middleburg – 4pm to 7pm
Does the registration fee cover both the Summit Point Historics and the TSD Rally?
Yes. you only need to sign up and pay one fee of $595.
Do I need to sign a waiver to participate or observe?
Participants and spectators for the Summit Point Historics on Saturday morning will need to sign a waiver at the Summit Point main gate to enter Summit Point. Track and Rallye Participants will need to sign additional waivers to go on track as well as to participate in the TSD Rally (both will be provided at check in at Summit Point on Saturday morning).
Where does the event begin?
The first part of the event – Summit Point Historics - begins at Summit Point Motorsports Park on the Shenandoah Circuit Gate will be open from 7am:

When and where does the Rallye Middleburg event end?
The Summit Point Historics will finish around noon after which drivers and navigators will enjoy a fully catered lunch at Summit Point. After lunch, cars will begin to form up for the TSD Rally, departing from Summit Point beginning at 2pm and ending around 4pm at the Vintage Festival on West Federal Street in Middleburg. Upon completion of the TSD Rally, cars will be displayed in a VIP parking area inside of the festival grounds. The awards ceremony will start around 530pm. The Vintage Festival also includes car displays, live music, and a food village with food and drink vendors available until 7pm.
What type of car is eligible?
Rare and unusual sports and race cars from Pre-World War II through the early ‘70s are encouraged to participate. Rare and unusual vintage cars (post 1990) may be accepted by invitation only. The organizers reserve the right of final approval.
What happens if it rains?
This event runs “Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold” but may be rescheduled/paused for more significant weather.

What time does the Summit Point Historics event start?
Event Registration and a simple Tech Inspection for your car will start at 7am at Summit Point followed by a Drivers Meeting at 9am in the classroom.
Is this a race? Do I need a competition license and racing equipment to enter?
No. The Summit Point Historics is a non-competitive lapping day and social event on a race track, celebrating spirited driving of road cars and former rally and race cars from the last century. You do not need a helmet or racing suit, gloves etc. Although period helmets, goggles and gear are highly encouraged!
How technically challenging will this be?
You will ask no more from your car than a typical highway drive (with lots of exit ramps). While on the track, a Pace Car will provide direction and control speed so that everyone may enjoy a fun yet safe track experience.

Does my car have to pass a Technical Inspection?
Yes. All cars must pass a simple safety inspection at the track. An inspection sheet is provided in the event package to help you or your shop prepare.
Do I need to install a roll bar or other safety equipment?
No. Seatbelts in good condition are required. Onboard fire extinguishers are recommended but not required.
How much track time will we get?
Each participant will have up to 40 minutes of track time.
How many cars will be on the track at the same time?
We are limiting the event to 30 total entries, but no more than 15 cars will be on track at any time.
Is there fuel at the track?
Yes. Fuel is available for purchase in the Summit Point paddock (93, 100, 110 octane).
If I am going to bring a navigator do I also need to register and pay for the navigator?
No. If you intend to bring a navigator you do not need to pay for an additional spot, but your navigator will also need to sign both the Summit Point and Rallye Middleburg Waivers. Note that a navigator is highly recommended for the TSD Rally from Summit Point to Middleburg,

What is the Rally Route?
The Rally will run on a variety of public roads from Summit Point to Middleburg. The Rally is a classic Time-Speed-Distance format where participants will be required to maintain an average speed (always observing posted speed limits and other public road signs) between both marked and un-marked checkpoints along the route. At the Summit Point check-in on Saturday morning, participants will receive a Road Book containing route maps and time/distance/average speed tables.
Will there be training for the Rally?
Yes. We will schedule a Zoom call for participants about a week before the event
Will I need special equipment for the Rally?
Rally timing equipment is highly recommended. Rally computers or mobile phone apps
What happens if I have a mechanical issue during the day?
Morgans Custom Classics will have experienced classic car mechanics on hand to address any minor “field” issues (at the owner’s cost). In the event a car is unable to continue we will have a rollback on standby (also at the owner’s cost).
What happens at the Vintage Street Festival?
The street festival in Middleburg will celebrate Rallye Middleburg – participants and spectators – and will include live music, food and beverage vendors, a children’s scooter race, an awards ceremony for the TSD rally, and displays of participant and other cars. The Street Festival will also include a Best Vintage Outfit competition – open to everyone!
Where is the Vintage Street Festival?
West Federal Street in Middleburg will be blocked off for the festival.
How should I plan for the Best Vintage Outfit competition?
Our local retailers can help you design the perfect outfit for the day. The Festival is a celebration of all things vintage be that 1920’s through to 1970’s outfits. Have fun, be creative and support our local retailers!
